This Tapestry experience can be very cathartic during a time of grieving—we are here to help you through it and to develop and deliver a conceptual keepsake piece that captures the essence of your loved one.

ABOUT US
Why CREATING a "My Life Tapestry" IS IMPORTANT.
I am deeply passionate about human connection and the lessons that every person has to offer another through life experiences. Designing with meaningful purpose is at the core of my 20+ years of my life's work. I love the personal relationships I have developed and I especially cherish the stories of how I have come to know those close to me. I like to call a person's life story a "tapestry" because there are so many experiences—like threads— in a person's life that ultimately shape their life. My Life Tapestry is a beautiful way to express and create a lasting, tangible keepsake.
During Covid-19 times, families have struggled with the inability to connect with each other like they used to. Seniors have especially been affected by life challenges stemming from lockdown and isolation. Through this fun, interactive and introspective experience, I am honored to assist those wishing to creatively document and celebrate life in a way that is manageable, not terribly time-consuming.
As an example, my paternal grandparents died when I was only 8 years old. While I do know some things about them via passed down stories, I really wish that I had a keepsake told from THEIR point of view. It would have helped me feel more connected to them and given me the opportunity to know and understand really meaningful things about them. Things that THEY would have wanted me to know—in THEIR own words.
My mission and sincere hope is to help people creatively and tangibly articulate their lens of life: meaningfully and beautifully. Through this unique keepsake, family can fondly remember, revisit and pass along knowledge, memories and loving advice.
OUR PROCESS
How does it work?
STEP 1.
Together, we arrange a discovery call where we'll discuss your vision, answer questions, explain our process and to finalize your keepsake package and pricing. Email us and let's figure out a convenient time for a discussion about the keepsake. We can even arrange a Zoom call. Email us at Designmylifetapestry@gmail.com
STEP 2.
After we receive your 50% deposit, our questionnaire is emailed to you to obtain personal information. At this time, you'll also start gathering photos that you'd like to include in the keepsake. Our average keepsake includes a minimum of 20 photos and a maximum of 35. A followup email will help to clarify any questions about your questionnaire answers and together, we will identify 3-5 topic answers that are top priority to include in the publication.
STEP 3.
A first draft of the Tapestry copy will be presented for your edits via emailed PDF. Then, edits are made and resent to you for your final approval.
STEP 4.
We develop a first draft of the designed keepsake—this includes your approved Tapestry copy (Step 3) and your select photos— for your review and design edits via emailed PDF. Edits are made and resent to you for final approval. The finished keepsake size is a tri-fold. Closed, it measures 7" wide x 10 and opens to 21" wide. Six panels of beautiful Tapestry!
STEP 5.
Final printing and delivery. We kindly request that the project fee balance is satisfied at the time final edits are approved.

You may certainly invite others to participate in helping you with the Google form. Simply provide their email address(es) during our discovery call.
HOW DO I PROVIDE MY STORY AND DESIGN EDITS?
We will provide a PDF for you to print and write your edits on. We strongly encourage using a RED pen to write all your edits on the print out.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A "MY LIFE TAPESTRY" KEEPSAKE?
Depending on client responsiveness, we can usually complete your Tapestry keepsake between 4-5 weeks.
WHAT IS THE STANDARD SIZE OF THE FINISHED KEEPSAKE?
Standard size is 21" wide by 10 when flat which folds to 7" wide by 10. You can opt instead for a booklet format which is 7" wide by 10. Additional fees will apply depending on page count and saddle stitching (aka stapled spine).
HOW DO I PROVIDE YOU WITH MY PHOTOS?
You may UPS, USPS or FEDEX your paper photos directly to us. We also offer a Dropbox link for your digital files. We ask for a minimum of 30 photos, but encourage you to send as many as 50 for us to choose from.
HOW DO I GET MY NON-DIGITAL PHOTOS BACK?
Depending on your location, we will UPS/FEDEX return with a tracking number. Carrier rates apply.
WHAT IS THE COST FOR ADDITIONAL COPIES?
For the standard 7" x 10 piece, additional copies are $30 each,
WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY?
We will not share your private information. For promotional purposes only, we may use your cover design —with your permission.
